Dining by Design

Dining by Design

For a few magical nights, San Francisco Design Center played host to one of the year’s most amazing spectacles: DIFFA’s Dining By Design San Francisco. Whether inspired by cult-classic literature, a day at the beach or the streets of Paris, dozens of designers created whimsical tablescapes at the San Francisco Design Center. Organized by co-chairs Anthony Garrett, Ronette King and Christie McRae, Dining By Design San Francisco was a hit with the Table Hop & Taste cocktail party on November 18, followed by the gala dinner the next night.

On November 19 and 20, the San Francisco Design Center was home to the 8th annual Dining By Design, presented by DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS. With more than 30 designers showcasing their talents with one-of-a-kind table installations, the event was kicked off by the Table Hop & Taste cocktail party, followed by a gala dinner the next evening. All profits from the SF portion of this nationally touring event will be distributed through DIFFA to the Positive Health Program at San Francisco General Hospital, the city’s largest HIV/AIDS clinic. National sponsors of the tour include Hewlett-Packard, Benjamin Moore, Beringer wine and Stolichnaya vodka. See more photos from DIFFA's Dining by Design 2008
